LA CAVA - A new gastronomic experience

At SOMOS, we believe that every space tells a story. This time, we wanted to open the doors to a new chapter that unites art, culture, and gastronomy in an intimate and immersive setting. Thus was born La Cava , an exclusive space within the restaurant, designed for unique experiences: from special dinners and private events to live performances that connect with our Ecuadorian roots.

The opening of this new corner was celebrated with great fanfare, officially marking the beginning of a new era in which we seek to go even further in the way we tell the story of Ecuador from the kitchen.

A night to remember: the opening of La Cava

The opening night was a vibrant gathering of friends, allies, and enthusiasts of Ecuadorian culture. Chef Alejandra Espinoza , the event's host, presented La Cava as a space that tells stories through flavors, textures, music, and art.

Among the event's special guests were representatives from the Peruvian Embassy in Ecuador, Ecuadorian artists such as Apitatan and Daniel Reinoso, as well as renowned influencers, strategic allies, and suppliers who are part of our community, such as Gin Crespo, Visa, and Bodega Dos Hemisferios.

Meet the Chef: A New Gastronomic Journey

The following day, La Cava welcomed the first guests of a new gastronomic experience, Meet the Chef, an exclusive event with Chef Alejandra who presented SOMOS' new tasting menu "La Ruta de los Volcanes" .

A culinary tour of the Ecuadorian highlands that pays homage to the Andean flavors, ingredients, and landscapes. Each dish is steeped in history and symbolism and was personally presented by Chef Alejandra. The evening was accompanied by live performances emblematic of our Ecuadorian highlands and its landscapes: traditional music, folk dances, and artistic expressions that connected attendees with the cultural richness of our land.
